Essaouira Day Trip
Start From $55 Per Person
You will be collected from your accommodation in the morning to start your Essaouira Day Trip. Essaouira is a charming seaside town established in the 18th century by the Portuguese. Formerly known as Mogador, Essaouira was fortified by a French captive architect, Theodore Cornut, who designed it under the orders of the Sultan Sidi Mohammed Ben Abdullah.
On the route, you´ll see many Argan Trees, which are economically and ecologically vital to the area. Goats frequently climb those Argan trees. Stop at an Argan Oil’s Women’s Cooperative where you can discover more about the oil’s wide-ranging uses, from cosmetics to medicine.
Once in Essaouira, Enjoy the afternoon exploring this charming place. Stroll along the beach, visit the rampart called Skala (The Battery) left by the Pirates, get lost in Medina and its endless crafts and art shops, such as artifacts carved out of local Thuya wood. See the Mellah, the former Jewish quarter, and don’t forget to relish fresh local fish for lunch by the port.
After enjoying the seafood lunch we drive back to Marrakesh. The end of your day trip to Essaouira.
