Ait Benhaddou & Telouet
Start From $80 Per Person
We pick you early in the morning from your riad or hotel to start your day trip to Ait Benhaddou and Telouet Kasbah from Marrakech. Let us take you through the wonders of south-eastern Morocco. We start our journey on Tizi-n-Tichka Pass Road, where hundreds of superb Berber villages made of mud and straws are scattered in the mountains.
Once we cross Tizi-n-Tichka Pass (2260m / 7417ft) which is the highest mountain pass in Morocco, we take a left turn to follow the ancient caravan’s route to reach Telouet Kasbah, home to Glaoui Palace. Stroll inside to enjoy some of the most beautiful architecture in Morocco and incredible views of the surrounding area. The trip continues along Ounilla Valley, to finally reach Ait Benhaddou.
Ait Benhaddou is a well-preserved Kasbah built in the 11th century and a UNESCO World Heritage since 1987. It’s probably the most celebrated, filmed, and photographed Kasbah in Morocco. Several films and tv-shows have been shot on this site, such as Lawrence of Arabia (1962), The Jewel of the Nile (1985), Gladiator (2000), Alexander (2004), and Game of Thrones (2013). Enjoy a 1-hour walking tour in the narrow alleyways of the Kasbah then have lunch here before we hit the road back to Marrakech.
